On 22nd November students from 10E prepared our worship material using the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
The Bible verses they decided to reflect on were:
31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
After reminding us all of the story …
The main theme that the students concentrated on:
This story teaches us about the importance of forgiveness, and being compassionate and caring to those that have made mistakes.
They asked us to discuss:
Did the father do the right thing?
Is it often easy to forgive? Why/why not?
Why is forgiveness important?
Please help us to understand how to forgive, even when we find it difficult.
Whenever we are in need of forgiveness, help us to redeem ourselves.
Please encourage others to forgive when we do wrong.
